Fly Fishing Guide Tsylos Park Lodge is one of the premier Orvis endorsed Fly Fishing, Horseback Riding and Grizzly Bear Photography lodges in BC, Canada. We are currently looking for a seasonal (June-Oct) or (June-Sept) Fly Fishing guides to join our team at our family-run wilderness lodge. Chilko Lake is one of the most beautiful areas in BC to work, live and surround yourself with energetic and adventurous people. This position is suited for a hard worker with high energy who is a team player. They are passionate about fly fishing, the outdoors and are excited to share their love for the sport with others The guide responsibilities are: · Providing guests and positive and fun fishing experience · Keep the boats clean, fueled and neat after each day · Passionately deliver commentary and stories to guests · Teach basic and advanced fly fishing techniques · Provide an outstanding level of service to guests and coworkers on and off the river · Excellent communication skills · Maintaining and monitoring fishing equipment for wear, demonstrate and execute high standard of equipment care · Care for guest safety and comfort, including the aesthetic, safety and function of lodge infrastructure and equipment · Supporting other staff in their job responsibilities when required Assisting with general lodge and boat maintenance and repairs Qualifications An Avid dry/wet fly fisher (We can train you for guiding) An avid fly tyer and knowledge of entomology Previous experience on rivers either by canoe, kayak, raft, jet or drift boat. Swift Water Rescue is an asset Other skills that are an asset: musician, mechanical, carpentry, electrical, yard or fence work, cooking, cleaning?
